Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is a reading program for students in 3rd through 5th grades. The list of 15 books comes from the Sunshine State Young Reader's Award titles.
Students are expected to read a minimum of 10 of the 15 chosen books in order to take the qualifying test. Students who do well on the qualifying test will represent PCE in the regional battle.
The program is a "quiz bowl" type of game, in which teams work together to answer questions. Questions are based on plots, settings and characters.
